Jobs in the Computer Industry
Former TPC President Bill Auckerman will be back to moderate a
panel discussion on IT work in Japan. Because so many people in IT are
considering work alternatives, including their options in developing a
venture business, working for an Internet start-up, or getting a better
job, the plan is to have four interesting experts discuss their
perspectives with our TPC members.
Panelists will include:
- Bill Auckerman, writer, teacher at Asia University
- Bill is a former Tokyo PC Users Group president and newsletter
editor, former editor of Computing Japan, and writer for a
number of publications, including Internet.com.
- Tanya Clark, writer for several publications including
- Tanya has been developing an ongoing series of articles for
J@pan, Inc. over the past six months on the Internet and venture
boom in Japan, and on VCs. She has been using computers for over 20
years, starting with programming punch cards and Basic using a Tandy
80. After going through using DOS and MACs, Tanya is back to using a
